The foundation stone for our historic hotel in the High Black Forest was laid more than 575 years ago. Today, it offers the opportunity to enjoy the experience of a luxury hotel whatever the weather and, at the same time, the authentic atmosphere of the Black Forest. Over recent years we have refurbished 90% of the interior. The predominantly modern style blends in ideally with the remaining traditional areas in the Parkhotel Adler.
Our estate, on the quiet outskirts of Hinterzarten, extends to an area of 70,000 m2 and has just 64 rooms and suites. This makes us not just one of the oldest hotels in the world but also one of the few remaining Parkhotels in Europe.
You can start your cross-country skiing, hiking, Nordic walking or mountain biking experience in the Southern Black Forest Nature Park right from outside the hotel itself. We are just approximately 30 minutes by car from Freiburg im Breisgau and are also within reach of the Alsace region and Switzerland.
